Our 5th and 8th grade students will be taking the NC Check-In for Science (both) and Math (8th) during the week of December 2nd through 6th. Please make sure students are well rested and on time. Students who are testing cannot enter a testing session late or be removed early.
On Tuesday, November 26th, we will have a behavior incentive activity during school. In order to attend, students must adhere to behavior requirements and pay a $2 entry fee. K-4 students will get to attend a movie and will receive a popcorn and a juice. 5-8 will attend a volleyball game and may purchase concessions.
Our 5th Grade Field Trip to Aloha Zoo!
Our Family Engagement Activity “A Christmas Carol Around the World” will be on December 10th @ 5:00pm! Take a tour around the world to learn about the Christmas Traditions of Jamaica, Columbia, and the Philippines! Also check out our Santa’s Workshop, get a picture with Santa, grab a free popcorn and hot chocolate, and watch a Christmas Movie! Make sure to wear your school appropriate Christmas pajamas, bring your favorite chairs, and enjoy!
Bruin of the Week
Our Polar Pals Gift Shop will be from December 9th through the 13th! Students can buy gifts for their loved ones from the shop! They will be given an opportunity to shop each day during school hours. Parents can shop on December 10th from 5:00 - 7:00pm during our Family Engagement event!
Thanksgiving Break will be from November 27th - 29th. There will be no school on those days.

Thankful Bruins Family Engagement
Just a friendly reminder to those that signed up for our Thankful Bruins Family Engagement Event! Please bring your students to the cafeteria by 8:30 am on Thursday, November 14th. Students will not be considered tardy. We look forward to seeing you!
1st Grade Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
Cheer tryouts for basketball season will be on Wednesday, November 13th in the gym. Students must have a current physical on file, a change of clothes, and appropriate shoes in order to attend. Tryouts will end at 5:00.
There will be no school on Monday, November 11th as we honor Veterans Day.
