The Public Schools of Robeson County's Child Nutrition Department remains committed to serving breakfast and lunch to all students this week. Our Child Nutrition Department has received multiple questions about meal services. We want parents to be assured that we will be serving meals this week. Rosenwald Elementary School- Media has decided to hold a Read-A-Thon this year! Read-A-Thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-A-Thon starts Monday February 3, 2025. About one week before our Read-A-Thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress. Just a reminder that students will return to school this Thursday, January 23rd. - Monday, January 20th - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Tuesday, January 21st - Required Teacher Workday - Wednesday, January 22nd - Required Teacher Workday - Thursday, January 23rd - Students return to school.

Public Schools of Robeson County schools will dismiss at 11:30 am on Friday, January 10, 2025, due to potential winter weather impacts. All afternoon and after-school activities for Friday have been canceled. Afterschool care will not be available.

Greetings, Rosenwald Elementary students families and community I pray everyone experienced a restful and joyous break over the past two weeks. Tomorrow is our big day, our first day of 2025 and we can’t wait to kick off the New Year with our students. We want to start the new year off the Little Twister way and ensure our children are getting to school on time so that they are not missing valuable instructional time. Morning announcements start at 7:50 am every morning and by then our students should be in the classroom ready to have their best day ever! Everyone enjoy the remainder of your weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early tomorrow morning. Love you all!

Greetings, Rosenwald Elementary students families and community We are excited for tomorrow evening as we present our Motown Holiday, Christmas Concert starting at 6:00. Parents you will be able to visit classrooms and teachers from 5:00 to 5:45. Concert students need to be on campus by 5:30. Remember only students that submitted consent forms will be participating in the concert. As we continue our 12 days of Christmas, tomorrow is Santa Hat Day. Wear a Santa Hat. Friday is Reindeer Day. Wear your Deer Gear. 2nd and 3rd grade students recently received information in regards to a field trip to a UNC-Pembroke basketball game next Tuesday, December 17th. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions and again this is for 2nd and 3rd grade students only and the cost $5. Next Friday, December 20th will be our last instructional day before we leave for Winter Break. That day we will release at 11:30. Thank you parents and guardians for all that you do and we look forward to seeing every Little Twister bright and early tomorrow morning. Love you all!

Rosenwald's Winter Concert- Save the Date

Let's celebrate Native American Heritage Month!

The Twister Tones, Rosenwald's Choir for 3rd and 4th Graders, participated in The Public Schools of Robeson County- All County Elementary Honors Choir on Thursday, November 14 at Lumberton First Baptist Church. Students did an awesome job performing for the public.

Hi Parents/Guardians, We are excited for our students to participate in Trunk-a-Treat as well as the Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Students received a flyer to take home today regarding information about the dance. Please be sure to check your child's backpack for this important flyer.

Hooray! We are proud to announce that the Little Free Library officially opens today. A variety of books have been added and are ready for our students, parents, families, and community members to take a break for a little reading. We would also like to send a THANK YOU to staff members and former RES parents that have donated books to this great reading opportunity. Dr. Seuss says it best, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Happy Reading Rosenwald Community!
