Students had a wonderful opportunity to learn about fire safety and the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe!

The annual Gertrude Oxendine Locklear Drug Awareness Contest is officially here for Red Ribbon Week!

This year’s theme is: “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.” 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

Students are encouraged to brainstorm ideas and start working on their artwork designs at home!

Important Poster Details:

If your artwork design is chosen to represent our school, you will be provided one official poster board to create your final artwork on.

Please note: Each student selected will receive only one official poster. If it gets damaged or needs to be restarted, parents/students will be responsible for providing the replacement poster board.

Get creative, show your support for living a drug-free life, and let’s make our school shine! Contest guidelines and entry forms are available through the school.

This Friday, we are celebrating School Custodian Appreciation Day and recognizing two very special members of our Union Chapel family, Mr. Anthony and Ms. Leslie!

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29th, from 3:30–6:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress so far this school year.

Immediately following conferences, we invite all families to join us for our Title I Parent Night at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.

We are excited to welcome our wonderful grandparents to Union Chapel tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22nd! Please join us for breakfast with your grandchild during their grade level’s scheduled time:

🍎 ECS, Pre-K & Kindergarten: 7:30–8:00 AM

🍎 3rd–6th Grade: 8:30–9:00 AM

📚 After breakfast, be sure to stop by the library to visit our Book Fair and browse some great books with your grandchild!
