This is a friendly reminder that there will be no school on Friday, April 18th due to a teacher workday. In addition, school will be closed Monday, April 21st through Friday, April 25th for Easter vacation.
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Easter and a safe, restful Spring Break. We look forward to welcoming all students and staff back on Monday, April 28th.

Happy Easter from Ms. Elizabeth and Ms. Katelyn's Second Grade Class!

Mr. Reginald McRae's students had an egg-cellent time during a special Easter egg hunt this afternoon! It was a sweet way to celebrate their hard work and enjoy some springtime fun together. Thank you, Mr. McRae, for creating memorable moments and always bringing joy to the classroom!

ATTENTION TIGER FAMILIES!!!
Eligible families can receive a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child to help purchase groceries while school is out. Visit ncdhhs.gov/sunbucks for all the details, including eligibility information and FAQs.

Our 6th grade students have been working hard, and it paid off in a big way! Students who met their math and reading goals in the Apex Learning Program were rewarded with a fun-filled Easter egg hunt!
Apex is a comprehensive, standards-based digital curriculum that supports our students in mastering key skills in both math and reading. We’re so proud of their dedication and growth, and it was egg-citing to celebrate their success with some springtime fun!
Thank you to Mrs. Tammy Sessoms, our 6th grade science and social studies teacher, who is also the Apex coordinator, for providing this fun opportunity for our students.

We are excited to announce our Students of the Month for March. These students were chosen by their teachers to represent their class based on exhibiting outstanding behavior. Congratulations to them all! If your child received a Tiger yard sign to proudly display for the month, please send in their picture so they can be recognized online.

Our amazing fifth graders had an unforgettable day at Main Event! From striking it big in bowling to high-energy laser tag battles and nonstop fun in the arcade, the smiles were nonstop. It was a day full of laughter, teamwork, and memories that will last a lifetime. Big thanks to our staff and chaperones who made it all possible!

FYI

More work is underway at the Jayden and Isabella Morones Memorial Garden here at school. Bit by bit, it's coming together — and when everything is finished, it will be a beautiful and peaceful spot on campus where students, staff, and families can reflect, remember, and find a moment of calm.
We’re so grateful for everyone who has contributed their time, resources, and care to bring this special place to life. Stay tuned for more updates as the garden continues to grow.
