ATTENTION 2ND & 3RD GRADE PARENTS!!!

It is the last day of school!
To our incredible students and dedicated staff: THANK YOU for a year filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Your hard work, kindness, and resilience have made this school year one to remember. As we head into summer, we hope each of you finds time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the things that make you smile. Whether you're traveling, spending time with family, or simply soaking up the sunshine, make the most of it.
Have a safe, happy, and restful summer break. You’ve earned it! We will see you again in August!

Before today’s sixth-grade graduation ceremony, our students came together to honor and remember their beloved classmate, Jayden Morones Hernandez, with a touching balloon release.
In a beautiful gesture of love and remembrance, they also saved a seat for Jayden during the program, a powerful reminder that though he is no longer with us, he will never be forgotten.
As these students move on from Union Chapel Elementary, they do so with a bond that will remain unbroken. Today’s ceremony was not just a celebration of achievement, but also a tribute to friendship, love, and the strength of this remarkable class.

All right, Tiger Family, we have one more test before the year ends. It's rather simple, so let's see how you do.
Question 1:
True or False? Attendance will be taken on the last day of school.
Answer: True. The last day of school is an official school day and your child will be marked absent if they do not attend.
Question 2:
School will be dismissed at _____.
a. 3:10 p.m. as usual
b. noon
c. 11:30 a.m.
Answer: C. Students will be released at 11:30 a.m. Please make the necessary arrangements.
Question 3:
Fill in the blanks. The students don't have to go _____, but they can't stay _____.
Answer: The students don't have to go HOME, but they can't stay HERE. That's right, folks, I know they'll leave kicking and screaming, but we're going to call it a wrap tomorrow. We'll see all of our returning students August 25th.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ANOTHER GREAT YEAR! HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!

This is a gentle reminder that our last End-of-Year Awards Celebration is tomorrow!
We will be recognizing sixth grade students tomorrow, June 6th. This will be their last HURRAH before leaving Union Chapel Elementary School and heading into middle school.
If your child received a letter from their teacher indicating they will be receiving an award, we hope you’ll make plans to join us in celebrating their achievement! We’re proud of all our students and can’t wait to celebrate their hard work. See you then!

Enjoy these last few photos from the Jayden & Isabella Memorial Garden.

A Beautiful Tribute from the Heart
Today, our first grade and sixth grade students took time to place stepping stones and garden flags in the memorial garden they planted earlier this spring in honor of Jayden and Isabella, two classmates they lost far too soon.
Under the guidance of the sixth grade teachers, Mr. Wesley Jacobs, Mrs. Tammy Sessoms, and Mrs. Tray Smith, the students have lovingly cared for this garden as a space of remembrance, reflection, and healing. It stands as a living tribute to the joy, kindness, and memories Jayden and Isabella brought to our school community.
We are so proud of our first and sixth graders for the compassion, strength, and love they’ve shown throughout this school year. This garden is more than just plants, it’s a symbol of friendship, remembrance, and the lasting impact two young lives can have on so many.

Our 2nd grade students have been loving their visits to the school garden! Each walk brings excitement as they check on the progress of the plants they’ve helped nurture with care.
They’ve had the chance to witness pollinators hard at work, playing their important role in growing the fruits, vegetables, and flowers we all enjoy.
Today, these young gardeners proudly held some of the fruits of their labor, a sweet reward for their curiosity, teamwork, and dedication. We’re so proud of their hands-on learning and growing hearts!
