Public Schools of Robeson County Summer School & Camp Schedule

Attention Parents: If your child has any medication on campus, please make arrangements to pick it up before June 12, 2025. Per school policy, the nurse is not permitted to send medications home with students. Any medications that are not picked up by the deadline will be safely discarded. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

This is a gentle reminder that End-of-Year Awards Celebrations continue tomorrow! In addition to Pre-K graduation, we will be awarding Kindergarten – 1st grade students tomorrow, June 3rd. If your child received a letter from their teacher indicating they will be receiving an award, we hope you’ll make plans to join us in celebrating their achievement! We’re proud of all our students and can’t wait to celebrate their hard work. See you then!

Today, our amazing sixth-grade cheerleaders had the honor of leading the Class of 2025 during their Senior Walk Through. While they aren’t heading into the real world just yet, they are wrapping up their final days at Union Chapel Elementary School. It was bittersweet watching them cheer one last time in these halls before they take the exciting next step to middle school. Thank you, girls, for your spirit, leadership, and love for our school. You’ve made us proud!

Today was a special day at Union Chapel Elementary School as we welcomed back some of our former students who are now proud members of the Class of 2025! These high school seniors walked the halls one last time as students, reflecting on where their journey began. Please take a moment to read this letter regarding a statewide technology issue that occurred today during End-of-Grade testing.

Dear Public Schools of Robeson County Parents and Guardians, The North Carolina EOG/EOC System is managed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. While testing this morning, the state experienced a server outage, causing a disruption to testing sites statewide. The outage lasted approximately 40 minutes. Quick corrective action restored the system, allowing around 120,000 students across the state to resume testing. As a result, our students were able to complete their EOG or EOC tests administered today. Our district intends to appeal to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction on behalf of our students. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in our School Year ReAdministration on June 4 and June 5, 2025, if they are not proficient. Proficiency is scoring a Level 3, 4 or 5. Please reach out to your school’s principal if you have any questions or concerns.

Important Update: PSRC to Transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus PSRC May 28, 2025 Dear Parents and Guardians, We would like to inform you about an important change taking place in the Public Schools of Robeson County. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is transitioning from the current student information system (SIS), PowerSchool, to a new platform called Infinite Campus. This is a statewide initiative aimed at enhancing the way schools manage student information and communicate with families. The Public Schools of Robeson County is participating in Phase Two of this transition, joining a growing number of districts across North Carolina in adopting this more modern and integrated system. Infinite Campus will support a range of key functions, including student scheduling, attendance, grades, and communication with families. Our dedicated team has been working diligently to ensure that all student data is accurately transferred from PowerSchool into Infinite Campus. While every effort is being made to verify the accuracy of this data, we recognize that some errors may still need to be addressed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition. We are committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout this process. Reminder for Our School Family There will be no school on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day, a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. As we enjoy the long weekend with our loved ones, may we also take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we have because of their sacrifice. School will resume on Tuesday, May 27th. Our Pre-K students had a roaring good time on their field trip to Dragon Park in Laurinburg, NC! It was a day full of fun, laughter, and adventure as our little explorers climbed, played, and made lasting memories together.
