This is a reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are tomorrow from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please attend to discuss your child's progress report that was sent home today. We look forward to seeing you!

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Our Scholastic Book Fair will start tomorrow, September 23rd, and run through Friday, September 27th, in the school media center.
Don't forget to set up your student's eWallet account for cashless, stress-less shopping. Friends and family can even contribute funds! Set one up here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/unionchapelelemsch.
THANK YOU in advance for supporting our book fair!

Today is Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance; a day where we remember victims who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks and honor the bravery shown by heroes who answered the call to serve and protect.
Today, let’s pause to remember and reflect to ensure their stories and sacrifices are never forgotten.

This week is National Arts in Education Week. During this week, the field of arts education joins together to advocate, educate, and celebrate the impact and transformative power of the arts in education.
We want to acknowledge our art teacher, Mrs. Whitney Oxendine, and our music teacher, Mrs. Angela Oxendine for inspiring our students to think creatively and be innovative learners.
As you think about your education, comment and let us know how instrumental the arts were in your academic career.

Flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading sign-ups start tomorrow. If your child is interested and eligible to participate, please read the informational flyer below.

If you have not joined our school's or your teacher's Remind account, we encourage you to do so. We do not want any of our families to miss out on important information.
Remind is a communication platform that helps educators connect with students and parents. It allows teachers to send messages to students and parents via text, email, or through the Remind app.
Remind is safe because teachers never see students' or parents' phone numbers. Students and parents can use Remind with cell phones or by email.
To join the school's Remind, click https://www.remind.com/join/84hk84a or follow the directions on the image(s) below.
To join your teacher's Remind, contact the teacher for their unique code.
