In celebration of Custodian Appreciation, we want to thank our custodians, Ms. Leslie and Mr. Anthony for their dedication to cleaning and maintaining our building. Custodians, you may think that no one notices your hard work, but we do – each and every day. The cleanliness and efficiency of the building is a joy for all of us. Keep up the great work!

As we prepare for another wonderful week at school, please take note of the following:
* This week is Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme is “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You.” The message is to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home.
* The World's Finest Chocolate candy sale ends on Wednesday, October 9th. If you have candy money that needs to be turned in, please do so by the end of the school day on Wednesday.
* Lastly, Boy Scouts sign-ups will be on Thursday, October 10th at 5:30. Please come if your son is interested in participating.

Pembroke Day is today from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the UNCP Quad. This event is a collaboration between UNC Pembroke and the town of Pembroke and showcases area businesses, student organizations and nonprofits. There will be food vendors and arts and crafts merchants. Stop by and see some of what the town of Pembroke has to offer.

October is Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying Prevention Month teaches students about kindness, respect, and how to stand up against bullying. It encourages everyone to be a friend and support one another, creating a safe and caring environment for all.
Today, we dressed like SUPER HEROES to show that we can stand up to bullies and help those being bullied.

Some exciting updates have been made to the Lifetouch photo program. Parents will now be ordering their child's photos online and all orders placed will be shipped directly to the mailing address provided to Lifetouch.
Instructions to do this were included on the paper picture day flyers that went home, and one is also attached below. Parents can subscribe and take advantage of the Advance Pay Credit, but they MUST subscribe to receive notifications from Lifetouch when their child's photos are ready to view and order.

Attention Kindergarten Families:
Please be reminded that all immunizations and NC Health Assessments are due tomorrow. Kindergarten students must have updated immunizations and a completed physical on file to continue attending school. Students without these requirements met will not be permitted to return until they are up-to-date.
