We have two fun fall events planned for Thursday, October 31st: a hayride and a Halloween costume parade. Both of these events cost $2.00 each to participate. If your child is wearing a Halloween costume to school, it must be school-age appropriate and no masks are allowed.

Although this AWESOME group will be honored later in the year, we can't let National School Bus Safety Week end without recognizing the ones who make it all possible. We appreciate our bus drivers for following all rules and regulations and for making sure our students get to school and back home safely every day.

Our third grade students had a wonderful and interactive experience completing Module 1 in English Language Arts class. Their reading contracts, audio books, and bookmarks were a great way for them to engage with literacy.
Mrs. Kimberly Clancy would like to thank Ms. Elizabeth and Ms. Kateland for allowing their students to come over and visit and witness all of the hard work that the students had put into completing the module.
Kudos to Mrs. Clancy's students for being great mentors to their younger peers. Such collaborations foster a strong learning community!

Today, our kindergarten classes went on a field trip to Gallberry Corn Maze in Hope Mills. From the looks of things, they had an A-MAZE-ING time!
Beginning next week, Envy Juices will be sold in the cafeteria for $1.25 each. Please send money with your child if you are interested in them purchasing a juice.

The first nine weeks will end on Thursday, October 24th. To allow teachers time to wrap up all necessary end of the nine weeks tasks, there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 25th due to a teacher workday. All students will return on Monday, October 28th.
This week is School Bus Safety Week. School Bus Safety Week is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of school bus safety for students, parents, and drivers. It aims to educate the community about safe practices when boarding and exiting buses, the rules for crossing the street safely, and the need for drivers to be vigilant when near school buses.
The week serves as a reminder of the vital role that school buses play in transporting children safely to and from school, while also promoting responsible behavior among everyone involved. It’s a great opportunity to reinforce safety messages and ensure that children understand how to stay safe on and around buses.
Attention Parents: NC Check-Ins #1
Tomorrow marks the start of the NC Check-Ins for students in grades 3-6. Students will be assessed in reading and math, with science included for 5th graders.
Please ensure your child arrives at school on time so they can enjoy a nutritious breakfast and be fully prepared when testing begins.
These assessments are important for tracking your child’s progress in these subjects. Encourage them to do their best!
