DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM

Academic Counseling: Counseling assists students and their parents in acquiring knowledge of curricula choices available to students. Also, academic guidance facilitates a realistic plan of program study, interprets academic testing, discusses grade point averages, and explores post-secondary educational opportunities.

Career Counseling: Counseling and advisement supports and helps students to modify and complete their four- year plans, acquires information and helps formulate a plan of action about work, jobs, internships, and post-secondary educational opportunities.

Personal/Social Counseling: Counseling assists students to better understand self, the rights and needs of others, conflicts and processes to resolve conflicts. Counseling also helps individuals to define educational goals that reflect individual personality, abilities, and aptitudes. Counseling may be provided as individual sessions, generic groups, or small group multi-sessions.
