๐ Special Recognition
Senator Danny Britt honored the late Coach Danny Graham with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, NCโs highest civilian honor.
A legendary leader on and off the court, Coach Graham guided Lumberton High School womenโs basketball for more than 20 years, becoming the schoolโs winningest coach. He led the Pirates to the State Championship in 2001, a runner-up finish in 2002, multiple tournament victories, and received numerous coaching honorsโall while mentoring athletes who went on to earn college scholarships. In addition, under his leadership, 14 athletes became state champions in track. Today, the Lumberton High School basketball court proudly bears his name. Graham passed away in February, but his legacy lives on through all whose lives he touched.
