ROBESON COUNTY — Multiple PSRC principals will take part in the Sandhills Regional Support Team 2025-2026 Principal Learning Series, a year-long professional learning experience designed to build strong, innovative school leadership.

Parkton Elementary Principal Christine Trasente, Pembroke Middle Principal Matthew Locklear, St. Pauls Middle Principal Amanda Hastings, and Pembroke Elementary Principal Portia Brazelton will participate in the professional development series.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our new principals to participate in the Sandhills Regional Support Team: Principal Learning Series. By engaging in this training, they will continue to strengthen their leadership practices and skills. Collaborating with other leaders across the region will not only enrich their professional growth but also positively impact the schools and students they serve,” said Jamal Campbell, PSRC Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

The focus of the 2025-2026 Series Sessions is Framework for the Future: Building the Backbone of School Leadership and Creating systems that support teachers, students, and success.

Each participating principal will be paired with a district-level leader, such as a Chief Academic Officer or Senior Curriculum Leader, who will join them in the sessions. This unique partnership strengthens shared vision and coordinated support between school-level leadership and district-level support.
