ROBESON COUNTY — The Public Schools of Robeson County proudly announces that the Lumberton FFA Chapter was honored during the Second General Session of the National FFA Convention & Expo with the distinguished Three-Star National Chapter Award—the highest recognition bestowed upon FFA chapters nationwide.
This award celebrates chapters that demonstrate exceptional accomplishment in growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.
The Three-Star designation represents the top level of achievement within the National Chapter Award Program. Chapters receiving this honor are evaluated on the innovation and impact of their activities, as well as the extent to which their work reflects the mission and strategic goals of the National FFA Organization.
“Seeing our students earn the Three-Star National Chapter Award is an incredible honor,” said Candace Grimsley, who serves as an LHS FFA Adviser.
“Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving others truly reflect the heart of agricultural education. I couldn’t be more proud of the work they’ve done to represent Lumberton FFA and our community on the national stage,” Grimsley added.
Earning this award signifies the chapter’s outstanding performance in leadership development, community engagement, and agricultural education initiatives.
Only the nation’s most exemplary FFA chapters reach this level of distinction, highlighting the dedication, teamwork, and service demonstrated by participating students and advisors. Each initiative completed by the chapter contributes to meaningful improvement within their school, their community, and the future of agriculture.
“The Public Schools of Robeson County congratulates the chapter members and advisers for their hard work and for proudly representing the district on the national stage,” said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson.
“Their success shows the strength of our agricultural education programs and the future-ready mindset of our students. Achievements like this highlight the dedication of our students and our district’s commitment to preparing students for leadership in agriculture and agribusiness careers—fields that are essential to our community, state, and world,” Dr. Williamson added.
