Superintendent's Academic Awards
Superintendent’s Academic Awards Criteria for 2019-20
Students must be enrolled in grades 6-12.
- Students must earn A’s in all coursework attempted for the first and second reporting periods/summer school and first semester and for the final grade on courses taken during the summer and first semester; this excludes exams. Students must earn all A’s for all coursework taken during the third nine weeks reporting period of the second semester of this school year.
Note: This is not an A average of all courses, but rather a grade of A or A- (unweighted) for all courses taken during the summer and first semester (first and second nine weeks) and all A’s for coursework taken during the third nine weeks of the second semester. This excludes exams.
- All courses that are taken during summer school, online, or through the community college, etc. and appear on the transcript and in Power School for the first semester, including summer school, and on the report card for the third nine weeks of the second semester are to be included. In other words, this criterion applies to courses listed on the transcript for the first semester of the current school year and on the report card for the third nine weeks grading period of the second semester of the current school year.
- The student’s transcript in Power School must be reviewed to see if the student qualifies.
- The student must have all A’s in Power School.
